This course titled Seeing Environment, provided me with the skills to engage with the environment using all five senses: touch, taste, sound, smell, and sight. The course introduced me to multi-sensorial literacy. Through personal creative expression I learned how to observe my surroundings holistically and interpret these experiences through multi-media including sketching, mapping, collages, and diagramming.
This course is based on Prof. Daniel Roehr's book, Multisensory Landscape Design: A Designer’s Guide for Seeing (Routledge, 2022).
